Venue
The venue for your ceremony can be almost anywhere you choose, from the beach, a park, a chapel or resort to the mountains at Mt Tamborine, the options are boundless.
Location
If your wedding is outdoors please consider the following and make provisions:
© insects - mosquitoes, midgies, grasshoppers, flying ants, magpies.
© rain - time of year, protection, alternate venue.
© wind - ensure not too exposed, not good for Bridal Party or guests, also plays
havoc with P.A. system.
© sun - location at time of ceremony, make sure not in your eyes.
© shade - on very hot days, particularly for children and the elderly, some seating
good idea.
© tide - check tide times to ensure ceremony not at high tide.
© beach - check time of year as beaches can get washed away in bad seas at
certain times of year.
© terrain - make sure readily accessible for guests, firm under foot, not too rocky or hilly.
© carparking - ensure adequate carparking for guests.
© Approval - certain locations require approval of use eg parks and beaches. I
have available the necessary forms.
Alternate Venue
© ensure you have a back up location for the Ceremony if it is raining.
© write a note on your invitations for guests to ring a certain number for information
if bad weather - not a member of the Bridal Party. Could be an answer machine
with a pre-recorded message of where to go.
